Summer Workshop 2012

Workshop held at Glenbrook South High School, supervised by Nate Unterman (GBN) and Edmundo Garcia (CSU). Teachers and students performed many exercises on e-Lab using CMS dimuon data as well as QUarkNet cosmic ray data.. Students also performed experiments using cosmic ray counters: muon lifetime, cosmic rate rates versus time. Eight high school teachers and fourteen students participated. All students presented their results in talks to the whole group to close the workshop.
Thursday was spent at Fermilab with a tour of the High Rise and the D0 Experiment.
